Summer can be a time of increased risk of exploitation, sextortion, and trafficking for youth.
Student Interns and youth volunteers reach hundreds of kids and other teens through a variety of fun activities, serving meals, camps, and neighborhood events bringing encouragement, connection, online safety classes, and resources every June and July.
There are 4 intern positions for students entering high school junior year through college students under 25. Many spots are open for youth volunteers to join the team starting in 8th grade. Meet Saysha!
A.C.T. United Director of Missions and Outreach Saysha is always looking for opportunities to support and serve child exploitation and trafficking prevention efforts of our local and global partners. As the Director, she coordinates and leads our local global missions teams. Her sweet personality and compassionate heart carry a fire and power inside for justice. She is passionate about bringing a message of personal value, worth, and hope for the future to children and teens. In 2019, Saysha went to Thailand to serve and support international anti trafficking work. Thanks to generous donations from our A.C.T. United friends and partners Saysha was able to accomplish her 3-week mission! The first week was in the Capitol city of Bangkok doing street outreach on the brothel strip where young men, women, and children are being exploited in commercial sex trafficking. The next two weeks were in the northern province with children in a safe home. We were able to purchase supplies for healing arts, educational materials, devotional journals for the teens, and brand-new shoes for every child! The most powerful impact however was sharing love and hope and seeing their hearts encouraged as their paintings turned from dark colors to light and colorful reflections.
